| Vietnam Energy Forum and Exhibition is supported by five major organizations in
Vietnam: |
| Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT) is government agency in change of performing the state management functions of industry development, trade, and public service. |
| The Electricity of Vietnam (EVN) is a state-owned corporation established in 1995. It is engaged in generation, transmission and distribution of electricity in the whole country. |
| The Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Industries Group (Vinacomin) is the parent company of around 30 coal companies, operating in both open-cast and underground mines. The estimated 2007 coal production is 37 millions tonnes and annual output of 3-4 millions tonnes in power generation plants and also operated other hydro-and thermal power plants. |
| Vietnam Atomic Energy Commission (VAEC)
is a State body has the following main functions and duties to formulate directions, strategies, planning and plans for research and development in the field of atomic energy in Vietnam and undertake international co-operation in the field of atomic energy. |
| PetroVietnam Power Corp (PV Power) is a subsidiary of the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PetroVietnam) has committed itself to accelerating investment in the construction of power plants to meet the increasing domestic demand for power and set a target of total capacity of 6,550 MW by 2015. |

| CP Exhibition since 1992, has
organized Vietnam Electricity and Coal Expo in Hanoi and
Saigon by turns. CP Exhibition was established in Hong Kong
in 1976 and has representatives in Beijing, Vietnam, and 20
other countries. In December 2007, the Vietnam 14th
Electricity Conference and Expo 2007 was held successfully
in Hanoi for over 16 countries or regions have participated,
China, Korea, Thailand, Italy, Singapore, Poland, Russia,
Australia, Germany, USA, UK, Taiwan, Czech Republic,
Malaysia, Japan, The Netherlands and etc..., with speakers
from Ministry of Industry and Trade, The Electricity of
Vietnam (EVN), The Vietnam National Coal and Mineral
Industries Group (Vinacomin), Vietnam Atomic Energy
Commission (VAEC) and PetroVietnam Power Corp (PV Power). |

VIEPromotion organized the Vietnam International Energy Forum and Exhibition on November 2007 focused on energy development in Vietnam, and was held at the National Convention Center (NCC) in Hanoi. Attended the opening ceremony was members of the Central Committee of the Party and Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai. |

JOINT EFFORT OF TWO ORGANIZERS |
| The Vietnam International Energy Forum & Exhibition 2008, held at the National Conference Centre (NCC), is a joint event of two organizers, CP Exhibition for overseas and VIEPromotion in Vietnam. |
|
| NATIONAL CONVENTION CENTER (NCC) in HANOI is the largest convention center in Vietnam and has been designed by a German architect. It is a 60,000 sq m area in the center of Tu Liem district with a 5,000 sq m space to cater many of the largest conferences and exhibitions. This is also a venue that was dedicated to the 14th Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit (2006), that took place under the theme, ˇ§Towards a Dynamic Community for Sustainable Development and Prosperity.ˇ¨ Among the twenty-one leaders and presidents from Australia, Brunei, Canada, Chile, China, Hong Kong S.A.R, Indonesia, Japan, Republic of Korea, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Peru, Philippines, Russia, Singapore, Thailand, Taiwan, United States, Vietnam. |
